Submersible Single Seal Submersible Single Seal Wastewater Pumps Series 1400 and 2400 Use to pump wastewater, unscreened solids, water containing silt and a wide range of pollutants. Suitable applications include truck loading docks, parking lots, storm water pumping from underpass drainage and areas flooded from overflowing rivers, streams, below ground vaults, wastewater pits, etc.
Pump Features Case Heavy-duty, close grain, high-density cast iron. Tripod support legs on floor models. Discharge 1-1/4 to 3 inches. Solid Size 1/8 to 2 inches. Impeller Semi-open or enclosed type, statically and dynamically balanced for a quiet, efficient operation. Cast iron impellers are standard on all models except 1451 and 1452, which have a stainless steel impeller. Bronze is available as an option on most models. Stainless steel is available as an option on selected models. Strainer Stainless steel. Model 1451 and 1452 have a brass strainer.
Motor Features Motor Type NEMA 6, submersible air-filled, hermetically sealed, Class F insulation. Single-phase motors are capacitor start induction run. Motor Horsepower 1/3 to 2 horsepower, 1750 RPM, and 3/4 to 2 horsepower, 3500 RPM. Motor Voltage Single-phase voltages are 60 Hz, 115 or 208-230 volt with automatic reset thermal and overload protection. Three-phase voltages are 60 Hz, 208-230 or 460 volt. Motor Shell Machined from close grain, high-density cast iron. End Bell Cast iron, air-filled hermetically sealed. Motor 9725 has a hermetic glass seal that separates the motor cavity from the power cord entrance. A power cord leak due to a cut and/or other damage will not permit water to enter the motor. Elastomers Buna-N o-rings for positive sealing. Viton o-rings are available as an option. Power Cable Cable type is neoprene jacketed. A three conductor grounded plug is furnished on single-phase 115-volt cord sets. Bearings Permanently lubricated single-row, double sealed. Oversized to handle radial and axial loads. Mechanical Seal Carbon against ceramic face with heat resistant stainless steel and Buna-N components. High temperature viton components are available as an option. Shaft Series 300 stainless steel.

The 9706 motor is constructed with carbon/ceramic on both the upper and lower seals and is available in tandem style only. Double Opposed Seals (Optional) Two seals. Both seals are in a constant oil bath. The upper seal is carbon against ceramic. The lower seal face is silicon carbide against silicon carbide. Not for pump heads exceeding 80 feet TDH. Three-phase voltages are 208-230 / 460. Grinder and Slicer Pumps Series 2100, 2400, 2500, and 2800 Grinder and Slicer wastewater pumps are available in vertical, submersible, and dry well models.
Grinder Features Grinder Cross-Section To 100 GPM. Solids are reduced to 3/8-inch diameter by the grinder cutter and shredding ring components. The 3/8-inch solids are then pumped by the impeller into the discharge line. The impeller is sized to efficiently pump the slurry at flows and pressures determined by the system design.

The grinder portion consists of a hardened rotating cutter mounted on a stainless steel motor shaft. A stationary shredding ring is positioned in the pump inlet. On all models the cutter and shredding ring are made from 440C stainless steel hardened to Rockwell 58C. The semi-open impeller is cast iron. A bronze impeller is available as an option.
Slicer Features Slicer Cross-Section To 650 GPM. Effectively slices and cuts sewage solids into pumpable pieces. The slicer will devour sanitary napkins, tampons, articles of clothing, disposable diapers, paper towels, newspapers, shop towels, and cigars.

Two slicer blades are 440C stainless steel hardened to Rockwell 58C. One blade rotates with the iron impeller and the other blade is stationary.

The slicer pump combines many of the characteristics of non-clog, cutter, and grinder pumps.

A slicer pump will process more sewage gallons per minute than a grinder pump.

DryWell Dry Well Pumps Series 2800 Dry well wastewater models are designed to be installed in a dry area adjacent to a wet well.

Dry well models can also be installed as a booster pump in a sewage force main. A typical installation has a submersible pump in the wet well with dry well pumps installed at intervals in the force main.

Dry well models are also used with above ground wet storage tanks. Install with a valve on the suction side, and a valve and check-valve on the discharge side. A compact, easy-to-install and maintain pump arrangement is possible.

Dry well models with NEMA motors can be either horizontal or vertical mount. All NEMA motors are Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled.

Several dry well models are matched to a Weil double-seal submersible motor. This style is used in locations where flooding of a dry well may occur.

Explosion-proof motors are available on all models.

Seal Chamber 316 stainless steel construction and filled with clean biodegradable oil for continuous mechanical seal lubrication. End Bell 316 stainless steel, hermetically sealed. Accessories and Wet Well Covers Series 2600 and 8800 Weil manufactures a variety of accessory items, including removal systems, wastewater valve assemblies, simplex and duplex reverse flow systems, and wet well covers.
Series 2613 Removal Systems Removal System The Removal System allows a submersible pump to be lowered and raised from a wet well without disturbing the discharge piping. The pump can be inspected and serviced without entering the wet well. The pump is bolted to the sliding bracket. The cast iron floor elbow is mounted to the Sub Base or the wet well floor. A wedge type design between the sliding bracket and floor elbow assures a tight fit. Guide pipes are mounted on the floor elbow and an upper guide pipe bracket. The guide pipes steer the pump to a perfect landing on the floor elbow. Available in 2, 3, 4, or 6 inch ANSI discharge sizes.
Series 2616 Duplex Wastewater Valve Assemblies Valve Assembly The Removal System allows a submersible pump to be lowered and raised from a wet well without disturbing the discharge piping. The pump can be inspected and serviced without entering the wet well.
Series 2620 Reverse Flow System The Removal System allows a submersible pump to be lowered and raised from a wet well without disturbing the discharge piping. The pump can be inspected and serviced without entering the wet well.
Series 8800 Wet Well Covers Valve Assembly Wet Well covers are available in round, square and rectangular design with pump opening for simplex or duplex installation. Covers are available for vertical or submersible wastewater pump models. Covers can be bolted to a curb frame and set in concrete or bolted to the top flange of a wet well.

Controls Series 8100, 8200, and 8300 Weil manufactures a full line of simplex, duplex, triplex and specialty control panels, as well as a variety of level control switches and high water alarms.

Series 8100 Control Panels Control Panel Available in NEMA 1, 4 Double Door Dead Front, and 4X enclosures. Enclosures are fiberglass, steel, or stainless steel. Explosion proof models are available.

Standard features on most panels include disconnect, U/L label, pump selector switches, power to pump light, and high water alarm.

Optional features include hour meters, motor overload light, moisture sensor / temperature limiter circuit, and intrinsically safe relay for pumps with explosion proof motors.

Series 8200 Level Controls Control Panel Lever Lever switches are mounted on a pedestal and actuated by a rod, which is moved by a float. Pressure Diaphragm Pressure diaphragm controls sense liquid level by means of a diaphragm actuated micro switch. Tethered Tethered switches are available in both pilot and HP rated units.

Series 8300 High Water Alarms Series 8301 Remote fail safe alarm panels. Series 8311 Compression type high water alarm switch. Series 8341 High water alarm panel with buzzers and test switches.

The Weil model 2417 is a 2-inch heavy duty submersible grinder pump for residential and commercial applications. The pump reduces solids to 3/8-inch diameter or less.

The model 2417 includes a 5/8 HP, 1750 RPM, 1 Phase, 115 Volts motor.

Mover Pumps Mover Pump
The Weil "Mover Pump" solves the problem created by no-flush handi-wipe towels flushed into the wastewater system. These towels ball up and clog many grinder, vortex and solids handling pumps. Most no-flush wipes are cloth containing polyester (PET) fiber.
